International Investment Forum «Dushanbe-Invest 2021»

Tajikistan continues to maintain a liberal foreign trade policy in which pursued greater regional and international trade relations and attained modest progress to expand its investment climate over the past year. Along with this, Tajikistan is considered a top reformer country in doing business (World Bank, 2020) and providing technical assistance towards the tax reforms. Moreover, the government of the country has made steps towards the greater compliance on intellectual property rights protections towards transparency in the extractives spheres. Authorities continues an economic reform tracks, providing social-economic opportunities in all economic sectors, particularly in the tourism and services.


Therefore, this year Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan has hosted an International Forum "Dushanbe-Invest 2021" which has been launched by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to develop and increase the perspective of the future Investment capacity of the country. International financial institutions, local business stakeholders, commercial organizations and the Government institutions such as The Executive Body of State Authority of the City of Dushanbe, the State Committee were representing the Government of Tajikistan were the main actors in this event. 
Creating a healthier investment climate in Tajikistan was a matter of discussion at this forum, where the participants also deliberated the perspective of the local business environment, establishing a solid background for effective cooperation on global projects, as well as the opening of routes for new technologies and know-how in the different commercial sectors of the country.
